Welcome to the website of the Church of the Annunciation in Paramus, New Jersey. I hope the information contained here will assist you in coming to learn more about our parish and invite you to join us in our ministry to bring the person of Jesus Christ to our world in this third millennium of faith.
We are a community of approximately 1,500 families in the suburban environment of central Bergen County in northeastern New Jersey. Established in 1953, we celebrate over fifty years of communion and fellowship, grateful for the foundations laid by our predecessors and the sacrifices they made. Mindful of our call to lead forward the work of the Gospel, we look ahead with hope as we embrace the mission of the Church today and the traditions and faith of our Catholic heritage. As we worship together, teach our faith to our children, reach out in service to those in need, and build community, we realize the Lord’s invitation to follow him and sanctify our journeys of life in his divine presence.
A parish is a place where much is discovered. Our various ministries extend to our people in the hope of serving their needs and asking them to welcome a sharing in the work that we do. Inspired by the stewardship way of life, we seek to give of our time, talent, and treasure with one another, believing that in our service, the peace and purpose of our lives of faith are discovered in joy. We all lead busy lives, stretched at times by our various commitments and responsibilities. And yet in a complex world the pillars of faith and community afford us a foundation for our lives here on earth and the opportunity to discover the deep meaning of family and friendship.
Thank you for taking the time to visit us and to discover the communion we share. We hope you will join us at Sunday liturgy where at the Eucharistic banquet we encounter Christ’s gift of himself and the source for all that we seek to do and live as his people.
Sincerely yours in Christ,
Rev. James V. Teti, Pastor
