The Annunciation/OLV Youth Group is a group of high school students that meet weekly to discuss our faith and look to find ways to help others in our community. Our goal is have a place for our youth to learn, serve others and have fun with fellow students in our parish.
If you know a local high school student, please encourage them to join us for our next meeting. During the pandemic, we are meeting via Zoom.
When it is safe, we will meet on Wednesday nights during the school year at 7pm in the Youth Group Room in the Annunciation Parish office building (located on the lower level). During the summer months of June, July and August we will meet at different times and days.
Dear Parishioners,
My name is Bob Leichte and I am the youth minister here at Annunciation and for the past few years I have been working to establish a new youth group that is shared by both parishes. It has been an exciting and rewarding task. I am also a middle school science teacher at Harrington Park Elementary School were I have worked for the past nine years. Besides being a youth minister and teacher, I am also a proud husband and father of 2 girls.
In my role, I am looking to continue to build the successful youth ministry program here at Annunciation has had established for years. Our goal is to create a place for teens to grow in their faith with other teens by discussing weekly mass readings and current events. We also have movie nights, game nights, and volunteer together at local non-profit organizations.
Our youth group also needs your help to grow our membership. So if you know a high school student who may be interested in our group, please encourage them to join us for our next meeting. We meet Wednesday nights at 7pm in the youth group room, located on the bottom floor of the Annunciation parish office building at 49 Demarest Rd.
Thank you and God Bless,
Bob Leichte
Youth Minister
